To Do Lists for Spring

The New Year may start in January, but it’s the spring season that brings with it a truly refreshed feeling. It’s a time of change and renewed energy while the sunlight shines more brightly and trees grow new leaves. Surrounded by all this freshness and new life, we thus associate spring with productivity and revitalisation in our homes too. At home, spring is particularly a time to clean and tidy – here are the tasks we’re ticking off our lists!

SWAP YOUR WINTER WARDROBE FOR SPRING ESSENTIALS

With the weather warming, it’s time to exchange cosy knits for cotton and swap jumpers for lighter, springier looks accordingly. When you swap things over, keep wardrobes and cupboards fresh by tucking Scented Sachets inside.

SPRING CLEAN THE HOME

Following the darkness of the winter months, spring is the perfect time to get the home clean and gleaming in the sunlight. It’s hard work, but once it’s done, a clean and tidy home will help to put you in a refreshed and positive mood for the new season.

FRESHEN THE HOME WITH NEW HOME FRAGRANCE

As well as brightening the home through a good spring clean, changing your fragrance can evoke a pleasantly refreshed atmosphere. Swap out the richly warming spicy and woody notes of winter favourites for a fresh botanical, sweetly floral or beautifully clean scent instead.

In particular we recommend bestselling favourite Wild Bluebell or White Tea & Pear for that comforting just-spring-cleaned feeling. Meanwhile brand new Lavender, Vanilla & Musk is a perfect choice for floral fragrance lovers with it's clean and creamy accord of Lavender and delicate musk.

Above all, consider the mood and purpose of each room as you choose a scent and fragrance format. If you want to build a cosy atmosphere in the bedroom, scented candles with gentle woody notes are a perfect fit. Reed diffusers, with their low-maintenance, continuous scent, work well for the bathroom. Diffusers are also a good choice for living areas and hallways. Try Rock Rose & Pink Pepper for a light floral fragrance.

BRING SPRING IN WITH FRESH FLOWERS

Spring is the season of new growth and nature renewing itself following the hibernation of the winter months. Undoubtedly, there’s no better way to imbue your home with the spring feeling of blossoming freshness than with flower bouquets. Early spring flowers such as tulips, sunny daffodils and fragrant hyacinth are associated with the turning of the seasons. Displaying their brightly coloured blooms within the home is therefore a great way to celebrate the cheerful mood of spring. For a vase, we especially love reusing empty candle glassware vessels to hold beautiful floral arrangements.
